In April 2025, the Annapolis County Housing Association (ACHA) appealed for public input to help ensure that future housing developments would meet the needs of the people working and living in our communities in Annapolis County. More than 300 kind and caring individuals completed our Housing Survey and took part in Community Engagement sessions: we are very grateful. People responded with empathy, compassion and understanding. They identified the challenges of trying to build affordable housing units and then worked together to outline potentially viable solutions.
There was strong support for the creation of more affordable housing, recognising the positive impact it would have on our communities “If everyone had a place to call home.”
Thank you to all who took the time to share their ideas and their experiences.
